Please help us help Cattle Dogs! There are many ways you can help. We can only rescue as many dogs as we have available foster space. If you have room in your home and your heart to foster a rescued Cattle Dog we'd love to hear from you.
Another way you can help is by making a secure online donation to TVCDR. Click the "Make A Donation" button to help TVCDR rescue cattle dogs.
Finally, be sure to check out USBones, Jeffers Pets, J-B Wholesale Pet Supplies, and Helping Udders where every purchase you make means a donation to TVCDR.

This group photo of some of the dogs at TVCDR was taken on a slightly foggy morning. It was taken at Cedar Creek Farm in Georgetown, TN where the rescue is housed.

Who We Are
We are a 501(c)(3), non-profit, rescue organization, based in Georgetown, Tennessee. Contributions are tax deductible. We focus on rescuing stray, abandoned, and unwanted Australian Cattle Dogs. We primarily rescue from municipal and county shelters in Tennessee, but occasionally assist with dogs from bordering states. Most of these dogs were picked up as strays; some were surrendered to shelters by their former owners; all were at risk of being euthanized before coming to us. The dogs in our rescue are in donated kennel space on a farm where they interact with humans and other dogs. We are able to evaluate these dogs for temperament, and provide basic obedience and crate training.
Fees
Our standard adoption fee is $175.00. This includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, dhlpp vaccination, Bordatella vaccination, heartworm test and treatment/preventative, fecal with worming as needed. We sometimes have rescue dogs available that have been started in herding. Adoption fee for these dogs is dependent on the level of training they have received. If you are interested in a started dog for trial or farm work e-mail or call for availability and fee information.
Adoption Application
Owning a dog is a major responsibility, not to be taken lightly. In an effort to make the best possible match between you and a dog, we will request that you complete a comprehensive adoption application, and be prepared to spend some time discussing it before an adoption. Also, please be aware that we reserve the right to conduct a home visit prior to approving any applicant.
Matching Dogs and People
Our goal is to provide the best possible home for each dog, so that they will never have to come back to rescue. We will place the dog with the person that is the best match.
Contacting Us
Our office is open Wednesdays from 5 pm to 9 pm, Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from 12 pm to 5 pm. Available animals may be visited by appointment and only after a potential adopter has been pre-approved.
